Herne Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herne Mulvihill struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Gealan Willson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bawnfune AFC. Skeahanagh's Bradon McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Herne Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradon McPeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gearroid McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Bercan Lavine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gearroid McLian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branigan McBjarton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gealan Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Branigan McBjarton made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bawnfune AFC's Theobald Palmer got a free kick in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donal Crowe during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Donal Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 58 minutes, Bercan Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skeahanagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bercan Lavine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daron Matthews hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, one of Bawnfune AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Gearroid McLian, was totally fooled by Skeahanagh's Bourns McPeter, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Andrew MaCollin kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Herne Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bercan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bawnfune AFC's Herne Mulvihill got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gealan Willson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herne Mulvihill, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. In the 99th minute Bawnfune AFC were awarded a corner. Daron Matthews went to the cornerflag to take it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Skeahanagh had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
