Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 10th minute of the match Finnigan McJames shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damian Silke showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Maghery's Bricin Hutton made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Silke was left in no man's land by his defense there! Russ Beckett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geary Todd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maghery's Russ Beckett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keelin John in the 18th minute of play. Damian Silke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bricin Hutton in the 24th minute. Ballinaboy's Damian Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearoid Caffey in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Maghery getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Bartley McPeter hit a great ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keelin John was the one to do the kick off. Ballinaboy's Damian Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bricin Hutton in the 55th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Ballinaboy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brennan Lester to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Gearoid Caffey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Silke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Finnigan McJames hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Damian Silke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearoid Caffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute of the match, Geary Todd got a very nice opportunity to score, but Russ Beckett was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ballinaboy's Damian Silke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bricin Hutton in the 76th minute of play. Damian Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gearoid Caffey in the 78th minute of play. Geary Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Russ Beckett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keelin John hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Bartley McPeter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damian Silke having to make a save. Damian Silke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gearóid Colwell hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When Maghery's Bricin Hutton in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballinaboy's goalie prevented a goal. Ballinaboy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
