Corry's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tierney Ghee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breenan McVictor was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sligo's zone, Blavock Lavine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dawayne McTommy came out of the goal and Blavock Lavine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Corry's Finn Caffey got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tierney Ghee made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theobald McLian in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Breenan McVictor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tierney Ghee. That made the score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. Tierney Ghee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breenan McVictor's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Becc Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Healy Benson was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 79th match minute, Sligo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Healy Benson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sligo's Dillon Scully got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Sligo's goal looked a bit too open when Becc Myler came free, but Dawayne McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theobald McLian's late challenge caught a Corry's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theobald McLian helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sligo getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Theobald McLian hit a great ball. Dawayne McTommy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blavock Lavine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, Sligo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis Harkin to maneuver through the defense. Bardon Deans charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bardon Deans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bardon Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Corry supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sligo's performance. The match ended with a win for Sligo.
