Daron McDonald charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daron McDonald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Corraneary's Daron McDonald got a free kick in the 6th minute. Lewis McJohnny was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Whitegate AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corraneary:s goal. Corraneary's Shea Walker was responsible for 1-0 with a brilliant performance in the 12th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Auley Hunt. Braeden McFrancise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vecdi Kabataş, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Walker in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt got control of the ball when Baine McAaron tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Phelim Perth hit a great ball. Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaynor McBjarton in the 29th minute of play. Auley Hunt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaynor McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, Corraneary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shea Walker to maneuver through the defense. Vecdi Kabataş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Braeden McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute of the game, Gaynor McBjarton landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bran Martyn during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Bran Martyn hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes, Corraneary's Shea Walker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Auley Hunt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Corraneary reached it. Whitegate AFC's Phelim Perth got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phelim Perth was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corraneary's goalkeeper Braeden McFrancise, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 minutes, Declan Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corraneary and the Whitegate AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Corraneary's Declan Delaney got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute, Vecdi Kabataş fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 77 minutes into the game, Shea Walker threw the ball into play from the sideline. Whitegate AFC's Vecdi Kabataş quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Declan Delaney in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Whitegate AFC's Donavan McSteve. In the 85th minute Baine McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auley Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phelim Perth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Auley Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baine McAaron in the 94th minute of play. Phelan McJon hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Corraneary were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Whitegate AFC for a fine match.
