In the 6th minute, Myrtlegrove's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Egan O'Brien fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pierson Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donoghue Cooney in the 11th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Brannan Ramsey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rooney Gollogley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ailín Myler kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Rooney Gollogley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Royan McBjarton in the 26th minute of the match. Egan O'Brien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rooney Gollogley made a huge save. When Myrtlegrove's Phelim McLiam in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oughterard's goalie prevented a goal. Pierson Brennan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phelim McLiam's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Royan McBjarton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rooney Gollogley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Braoin McAaron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phelim McLiam was the one to do the kick off. Oughterard's Pierson Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braoin McAaron in the 52nd minute of play. Pierson Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braoin McAaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braoin McAaron got free with Pierson Brennan in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 59 in the game by Braoin McAaron from a close distance when the talented Pierson Brennan managed to make a qualified save. Oughterard's players were relieved. Phelim McLiam received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pierson Brennan came out and tried to block the shot, but Phelim McLiam slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 60th minute. After 67 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Ailín Myler. Kevis McDecland hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Egan O'Brien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rooney Gollogley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Braoin McAaron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierson Brennan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egan O'Brien in the 80th minute of play forced Myrtlegrove's goalkeeper Rooney Gollogley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egan O'Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rooney Gollogley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donoghue Cooney's late challenge caught a Oughterard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donoghue Cooney helped the player get up and apologised. Donoghue Cooney kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Egan O'Brien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rooney Gollogley was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The Oughterard supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Myrtlegrove's performance. The match ended with a win for Myrtlegrove.
