Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Douglas McJohnny started the match with the kick off. If Bin Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Douglas McJohnny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boudibiua McNamara was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Boudibiua McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Dunne in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th of the match, Branagain Perth tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Bodibeua Gillmour got in the way and made a wonderful save. The crowd rose to their feet as Athboy FC's Darren Jameson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bodibeua Gillmour. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. If Branagain Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bivitas O'Brien charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bivitas O'Brien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kilcommon's Bivitas O'Brien got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Athboy FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Donavan McSteven hit a great ball. Bodibeua Gillmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branagain Perth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Bin Dunne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilcommon's supporters rose to their feet, but Bin Dunne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boudibiua McNamara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boudibiua McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Dunne in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Kilcommon's goal looked a bit too open when Branagain Perth came free, but Bodibeua Gillmour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branagain Perth was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Athboy FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Boudibiua McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas McJohnny, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Branagain Perth made the kick off in the second half. In the last second Boudibiua McNamara throw himself and got hold of the ball when Douglas McJohnny in the 53rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Darren Jameson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bodibeua Gillmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-0 became the score in the 62nd minute when Branagain Perth elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Athboy FC's goalkeeper Boudibiua McNamara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ciarán McLiam fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilcommon's protests and gave Ciarán McLiam a yellow card for diving instead. Ciarán McLiam kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darren Jameson in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bodibeua Gillmour saved Kilcommon from getting behind. Branagain Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodibeua Gillmour having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Bivadi Rogers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kilcommon's Douglas McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kilcommon's zone, Branagain Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bodibeua Gillmour came out of the goal and Branagain Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bin Dunne struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Boudibiua McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilcommon. Bin Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Athboy FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kilcommon for a fine match.
