Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) Baine McAaron made the kick off and thus started the match. Pierson Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Walker in the 5th minute of play. Pierson Brennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baine McAaron went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baine McAaron in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pierson Brennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Corraneary's Shea Walker got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 18th match minute, Corraneary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Declan Delaney to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Shea Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corraneary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oughterard the free kick. A collision led to Corraneary getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Shea Walker hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Baine McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierson Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baine McAaron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pierson Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierson Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baine McAaron in the 34th minute of the match. Geoffrey McDecland's late challenge caught a Corraneary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geoffrey McDecland helped the player get up and apologised. Geoffrey McDecland kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gaynor McBjarton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Pierson Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Oughterard's goal looked a bit too open when Daron McDonald came free, but Pierson Brennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Royan McBjarton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Braeden McFrancise came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Oughterard's Egan O'Brien. But to his dismay, Egan O'Brien quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Braeden McFrancise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egan O'Brien in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Baine McAaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Egan O'Brien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baine McAaron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Pierson Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Egan O'Brien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bernard Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bernard Walker came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Corraneary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Walker couldn't finish the play. If Gaynor McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braeden McFrancise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Royan McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Egan O'Brien left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oughterard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 91 played minutes Oughterard got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey McDecland.
