In the 3rd match minute, Myrtlegrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ailín Myler to maneuver through the defense. Bran Martyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rooney Gollogley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Baptist Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blaithmeic Molloy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Auley Hunt. Whitegate AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Bairne McAlphie put in a rough tackle. In the 16th minute, Bairne McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phelim Perth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rooney Gollogley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Myrtlegrove defense, Phelim Perth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rooney Gollogley. The Myrtlegrove fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rooney Gollogley should have stopped the shot. Auley Hunt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ailín Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Myrtlegrove getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Blaithmeic Molloy hit a great ball. Bran Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Ailín Myler notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt. Auley Hunt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Myrtlegrove booed when Whitegate AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugh Byrne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Whitegate AFC's Baptist Mulvihill managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Torrian McDonald in the 59 minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Phelim McLiam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Auley Hunt. Whitegate AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phelim McLiam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Torrian McDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Whitegate AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Donoghue Cooney came free, but Auley Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tory Glen Crowe hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Donoghue Cooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auley Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baptist Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ailín Myler in the 76th minute of play forced Whitegate AFC's goalkeeper Auley Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Phelim Perth made a precise shot to the right of Rooney Gollogley. Myrtlegrove's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Vecdi Kabataş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Phelim Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phelim McLiam in the 88th minute of play forced Whitegate AFC's goalkeeper Auley Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auley Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ailín Myler in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Lewis McJohnny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
