The crowd rose to their feet as Bran Martyn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Berchan Murphy. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Berchan Murphy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bran Martyn in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Cashlan getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lou Gallagher hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bran Martyn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Berchan Murphy. That made the score 3-0 in the 13 minute of play. Bairne McAlphie charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bairne McAlphie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bairne McAlphie kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blar Hughes in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Bran Martyn made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cashlan's Berchan Murphy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bairne McAlphie hit a great ball. After 35 played minutes Whitegate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donavan McSteve. If Vecdi Kabataş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Whitegate AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rowe Jameson came free, but Auley Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Bran Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitegate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bran Martyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bran Martyn made the kick off in the second half. Auley Hunt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rowley McJames went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 54 minutes into the match, Rowley McJames had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Auley Hunt. Whitegate AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rowley McJames was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After having played for 60 minutes, Bran Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitegate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bran Martyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Auley Hunt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 4-3. Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Whitegate AFC from getting a goal against them. Blar Hughes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Auley Hunt came out and tried to block the shot, but Blar Hughes slotted it home off the left post making it 4-4 in the 71st minute. In the 74th match minute, Cashlan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lou Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. If Bran Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cashlan's zone, Bran Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berchan Murphy came out of the goal and Bran Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cashlan's Berchan Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bran Martyn in the 78th minute of play. Rowe Jameson's late challenge caught a Whitegate AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rowe Jameson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Cashlan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rowe Jameson to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Bran Martyn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Berchan Murphy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Auley Hunt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blar Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Auley Hunt made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Rowley McJames sent off a good shot on target. Whitegate AFC's Bran Martyn got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Bran Martyn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitegate AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-4. Cashlan's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Whitegate AFC had won, even though Cashlan had held more of the ball.
