Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Baine McJames made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt got control of the ball when Seoirse Frankson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Whitegate AFC booed when Graystown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Farrell Molloy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Whitegate AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gearoid Jameson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bran Martyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philib Delaney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bran Martyn in the 30th minute of play forced Graystown's goalkeeper Philib Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Graystown's zone, Bran Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philib Delaney came out of the goal and Bran Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugh Byrne's late challenge caught a Graystown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugh Byrne helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Whitegate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Byrne. Auley Hunt was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Braon McLiam. After a rather tough play, Whitegate AFC's Bairne McAlphie got a free kick in the 39th minute. Whitegate AFC's Bran Martyn got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 49th minute, Phelim Perth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitegate AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

Whitegate AFC's Hugh Byrne got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Hugh Byrne off the ground. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hugh Byrne hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes Whitegate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bairne McAlphie. Philib Delaney made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Phelim Perth sent off a good shot on target. Philib Delaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vecdi Kabataş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Farrell Molloy in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Whitegate AFC's Baptist Mulvihill. In the 93rd match minute, Whitegate AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baptist Mulvihill to maneuver through the defense. Whitegate AFC's Baptist Mulvihill managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Farrell Molloy in the 96 minute of the game. Phelim Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philib Delaney having to interfere. Whitegate AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
