After 23 minutes of play, Myrtlegrove's Donoghue Cooney made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bairne McFrancise was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bivadas Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Bivadas Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rooney Gollogley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Drumcoura AFC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Drumcoura AFC's Bivadas Sheridan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Drumcoura AFC's Bairne McFrancise proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Drumcoura AFC from getting a goal against them. Drumcoura AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bivadas Sheridan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Myrtlegrove's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
