Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Biviti Costello got the match started through his kick off. Brite Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Coyle in the 5th minute of play. Dónal McPhilip made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Aodh Cronin sent off a good shot on target. Bearnad McBrandon kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Barra Lester took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dónal McPhilip. Gweedore's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raymond Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Brite Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Raymond Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Gweedore got a freekick which was hit by Harvey McDecland. Bearnad McBrandon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brite Quinnless. Lelagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aodh Cronin struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Dónal McPhilip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lelagh. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barr Quinnless during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Barr Quinnless hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Harvey McDecland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brite Quinnless having to interfere. Biviti Costello spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Gweedore's goal. Barr Quinnless sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harvey McDecland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brite Quinnless made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Raymond Coyle sent off a good shot on target. After 59 played minutes Gweedore got a freekick which was hit by Barr Quinnless. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Biviti Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lelagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Biviti Costello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dónal McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harvey McDecland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aodh Cronin came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Lelagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aodh Cronin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Gweedore getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Banbhan Jameson hit a great ball. Biviti Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harvey McDecland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dónal McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aodh Cronin in the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lelagh's zone, Harvey McDecland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brite Quinnless came out of the goal and Harvey McDecland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Gweedore's Trevor McAlphie got a free kick in the 86th minute. Barr Quinnless kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Raymond Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Brogan Deans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dónal McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
