Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Braoin Holt kicked off to start the match. Bray McNamee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremiah Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donagh Morrison got free with Bray McNamee in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Braoin Holt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Braoin Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremiah Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bray McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremiah Taylor in the 21st minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Cooraclare got a freekick which was hit by Breccan Moran. Trien Savic shot from long distance in the 26th minute, but Bray McNamee was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Tipraite McSteve fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cooraclare's protests and gave Tipraite McSteve a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Tipraite McSteve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Braoin Holt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ballylug Utd's Perry Cronin. Perry Cronin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremiah Taylor made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bairne McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braoin Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Cronin having to interfere. Ballylug Utd's Perry Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braoin Holt in the 61st minute of play. Bray McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donagh Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Donagh Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bray McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donagh Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bray McNamee having to interfere. Braoin Holt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Perry Cronin 76 minutes into the match. Bray McNamee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewain Harkin in the 84th minute of play. Bray McNamee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Grant in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Jeremiah Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballylug Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremiah Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donagh Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bray McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ballylug Utd supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cooraclare's performance. The match ended with a win for Cooraclare.
