After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Harvey McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gweedore's supporters rose to their feet, but Harvey McDecland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bryan McGlenn to make the kick off. Gweedore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey McDecland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chants of Inniskeen AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Gweedore had held the ball for most of the match.
