With a couple of smart ball manuevers Biviti Costello in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard McLiam saved Hospital AFC from getting behind. After 23 minutes, Tory Costello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hospital AFC and the Lelagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tory Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Lelagh's Barra Lester shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Richard McLiam but with some difficulty. Hospital AFC's Tory Costello got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Tory Costello off the ground. Tory Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aodh Cronin got free with Richard McLiam in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hospital AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Biviti Costello 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 36 minutes into the game, Biviti Costello lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Richard McLiam. Aodh Cronin hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Aodh Cronin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Hospital AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bow Deery. Bell Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Richard McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biviti Costello in the 47th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hospital AFC defense, Biviti Costello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard McLiam. The Hospital AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard McLiam should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bell Colwell made a kick off. Richard McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aodh Cronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Lelagh's Biviti Costello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard McLiam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Aodh Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lelagh booed when Hospital AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair Murphy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard McLiam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aodh Cronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 81 minutes, Biviti Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lelagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Biviti Costello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Biviti Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hospital AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aodh Cronin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 97 played minutes Lelagh got a freekick which was hit by Brogan Deans. Lelagh were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hospital AFC for a fine match.
