Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harvey McDecland got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Gweedore getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Barr Quinnless hit a great ball. In the 5th minute Richardstown Utd were awarded a corner. Paul McSteven went to the cornerflag to take it. Harvey McDecland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Begg McPhilip having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Richardstown Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey McDecland came free, but Begg McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cormac Benson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ailín McJohnny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dónal McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gweedore's Raymond Coyle in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Richardstown Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Raymond Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Begg McPhilip having to interfere. In the 37th minute, one of Richardstown Utd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Richardstown Utd. Begg McPhilip went to the wrong direction when Trevor McAlphie was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 39th minute, Raymond Coyle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gweedore fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Bailey Duggan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bailey Duggan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gweedore's Harvey McDecland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 57 minutes into the game, Banbhan Jameson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Begg McPhilip. Banbhan Jameson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 62nd minute, Harvey McDecland fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Begg McPhilip, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Raymond Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gweedore's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Begg McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Gweedore booed when Richardstown Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barra Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Harvey McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gweedore's supporters rose to their feet, but Harvey McDecland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Begg McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raymond Coyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Harvey McDecland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Tathan McIan fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Richardstown Utd's protests and gave Tathan McIan a yellow card for diving instead. Trevor McAlphie was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Banbhan Jameson got free with Begg McPhilip in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Richardstown Utd's Bailey Duggan in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gweedore's goalie prevented a goal.
