When Bardon Rogers came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Carrigart FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bardon Rogers couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Ferdia Bayes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Carrigart FC's Gehan Martyn got a free kick in the 21st minute. Boroimhe Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Brenden Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdia Bayes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Carrigart FC's Gehan Martyn got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdia Bayes in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brenden Cronin saved Carrigart FC from getting behind. Ferdia Bayes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 37 minutes, Boroimhe Martyn made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carrigart FC's Brenden Cronin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bardon Rogers hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, DS Wesrt's Boroimhe Martyn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brenden Cronin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdia Bayes in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brenden Cronin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over DS Wesrt could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carrigart FC throughout the match.
