Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Braon McMichel made the kick off which started today's match. Breandan Molloy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braon McMichel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Braon McMichels short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Breandan Molloy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Taghmon's Bradaigh Brennan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Tierney Murphy lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 19th minute, one of Taghmon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taghmon. With a little luck, Barreen's Breandan Molloy got control of the ball when Harrington Ghee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kevis Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breandan Molloy having to interfere. Bradaigh Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breandan Molloy having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Conleth Tierney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caroll McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Healey Silke having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Kevis Harkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taghmon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevis Harkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bradaigh Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sherlock McDonald stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Breandan Molloy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradaigh Brennan in the 52nd minute of the match. Kevis Harkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Breandan Molloy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Conleth Tierney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taghmon and the Barreen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Taghmon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conleth Tierney to maneuver through the defense. Beairtle McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevis Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breandan Molloy having to interfere. When Bradaigh Brennan came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Taghmon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradaigh Brennan couldn't finish the play. Hugh Quinnless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Breandan Molloy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradaigh Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradaigh Brennan struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Breandan Molloy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taghmon. Breandan Molloy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh Quinnless in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Taghmon booed when Barreen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bowen McLian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Harrington Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harrington Ghee scored 4-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Breandan Molloy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bradaigh Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Barreen defense, Hugh Quinnless kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Breandan Molloy. The Barreen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Breandan Molloy should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Taghmon had played much better football throughout.
