Bartley Dimson started the match with the kick off. Bhrighde Gillmour hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shannagh Utd's goalkeeper Bracken Brennan , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baoithin Prunty in the 13th minute of play forced Clogh's goalkeeper Turlough Scully to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bracken Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartley Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Brant Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Harry Hunt fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shannagh Utd's protests and gave Harry Hunt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Harry Hunt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Curran Holt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute of the match Kevion Murphy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bracken Brennan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bracken Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curran Holt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brant Silke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Turlough Scully made a huge save. In the 45th minute, Brant Silke fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Shannagh Utd's Berrigan McOliver got a free kick in the 46th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 49th minute of the game. One of Shannagh Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clogh:s goal. After the first half Clogh were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brant Silke to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Brant Silke notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Clogh's Turlough Scully. Turlough Scully was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Curran Holt struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Bracken Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clogh. Brant Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curran Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bracken Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shannagh Utd's attack was well implemented in the 89th minute, but when Brant Silke was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. If Harry Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Brant Silke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shannagh Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Brant Silke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Turlough Scully breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Curran Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 101st minute, but Bracken Brennan got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Shannagh Utd hanging dry this time. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
