Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerald Colwell took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rorke Scully made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baoithin Prunty in the 3rd minute of play. Don McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bracken Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caoilte Tracy in the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Baoithin Prunty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rorke Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baoithin Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baoithin Prunty received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rorke Scully came out and tried to block the shot, but Baoithin Prunty slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Harry Hunt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baoithin Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berk Dunne hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Bracken Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerald Colwell in the 25th minute of the match. Gerald Colwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerald Colwell in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bracken Brennan saved Shannagh Utd from getting behind. Bracken Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerald Colwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, Drumbilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Farrell Scully to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Shannagh Utd booed when Drumbilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don McPhilip didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Shannagh Utd's Darby John tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Conn Cooney charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conn Cooney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Drumbilla got a freekick which was hit by Conn Cooney. 48 minutes in the game Harry Hunt after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Rorke Scully. A very good opportunity.

The supporters of Shannagh Utd booed when Drumbilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gerald Colwell came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Drumbilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerald Colwell couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, Shannagh Utd's Baoithin Prunty nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rorke Scully made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Drumbilla's Gerald Colwell in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shannagh Utd's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caoilte Tracy got free with Bracken Brennan in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Farrell Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Brant Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caoilte Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bracken Brennan having to interfere. When Herygh McIan fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drumbilla's protests and gave Herygh McIan a yellow card for diving instead. Herygh McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Shannagh Utd's goalkeeper Bracken Brennan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caoilte Tracy. Caoilte Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bracken Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Drumbilla's Gerald Colwell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bracken Brennan . Bracken Brennan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Drumbilla players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Shannagh Utd.
