Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when George Doyle made the kick off which started today's match. George Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turlough Scully having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Clogh's zone, Bearach O'Keefe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turlough Scully came out of the goal and Bearach O'Keefe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Turlough Scully didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bearach O'Keefe went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute Bartley Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Bearach O'Keefe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turlough Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute George Doyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turlough Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bearach O'Keefe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Turlough Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Bartley Dimson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kyle Colwell, passed just outside the right post. If Curran Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Strand's Kyle Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartley Dimson in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Clogh booed when Strand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beairtle McAlphie didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Kyle Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartley Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Curran Holt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bearach O'Keefe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turlough Scully having to interfere. Bearach O'Keefe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Turlough Scully read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Clogh getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bhrighde Gillmour hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Troy Tracy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clogh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strand the free kick. George Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Bearach O'Keefe sped through Clogh's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Turlough Scully. After a rather tough play, Clogh's Bhrighde Gillmour got a free kick in the 77th minute. Turlough Scully made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bearach O'Keefe in the 79th minute. Curran Holt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Clogh's Turlough Scully got control of the ball when Bearach O'Keefe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute, Bearach O'Keefe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Clogh getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Troy Tracy hit a great ball. When Bhrighde Gillmour fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clogh's protests and gave Bhrighde Gillmour a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Bhrighde Gillmour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
