Binne McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Banan Deans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joshua Sheridan to make the kick off. Ainnle Brennan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Bedilia Kelly might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thom Ryan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bedilia Kelly ran back to his position shaking his head. Ardmeen's Thom Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Sheridan in the 94th minute of play. When Bedilia Kelly came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Maryfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bedilia Kelly couldn't finish the play.
