Battiemount's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Brennen Ryan scored to the left of an out of position Bodibeua Callaghan, making the score, 1-0. Brennen Ryan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bodibeua Callaghan firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suibhne McCollion in the 26th minute of play forced Battiemount's goalkeeper Bodibeua Callaghan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Finnigan McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Finnigan McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garr FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Finnigan McMichel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bodibeua Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Battiemount got a freekick which was hit by Harkin Caffrey. In the 44th minute of the match Tipraite Dunne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bodibeua Callaghan skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyne Coyle was the one to do the kick off. 64 minutes into the game, Cullan McPhilip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Battiemount's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garr FC the free kick. Battiemount's Pearse McJames got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
