Bracken Brennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cian Harkin went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Brant Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Boethis Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the match, Cian Harkin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bracken Brennan . Shannagh Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cian Harkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Boethis Perth scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bracken Brennan , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boethis Perth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bil McTom hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Baoithin Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boethis Perth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 47th minute Cian Harkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bracken Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cian Harkin made a kick off. Boethis Perth hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Shannagh Utd's Brant Silke got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Shannagh Utd's zone, Boethis Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bracken Brennan came out of the goal and Boethis Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berk Dunne hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Cian Harkin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bracken Brennan . Shannagh Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cian Harkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boethis Perth in the 71st minute of play. Bracken Brennan made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Cian Harkin sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Kevin Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brant Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thom Ryan having to interfere. Shannagh Utd's Bracken Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boethis Perth in the 90th minute of play. Thom Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baoithin Prunty in the 93rd minute of the match. If Brant Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Shannagh Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ardmeen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
