If Críostóir McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 played minutes Battiemount got a freekick which was hit by Críostóir McNamara. Bhrighde Gillmour took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bodibeua Callaghan. Bodibeua Callaghan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Battiemount's Bodibeua Callaghan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Battiemount from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes Battiemount got a freekick which was hit by Cullan McPhilip. Battiemount's Bodibeua Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartley Dimson in the 34th minute of play. Turlough Scully made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gearalt McAlphie in the 36th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyne Coyle was the one to do the kick off. Bodibeua Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curran Holt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boyne Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Harrigan Gollogley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Battiemount's Bodibeua Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troy Tracy in the 87th minute of play. Lochlainn Gallagher kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Clogh players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
