Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) George Doyle started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Babe McWillie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th match minute, Strand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradaigh Doherty to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Bearach O'Keefe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pawd Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Holt kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Hewney Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Dempsey kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Kyle Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babe McWillie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Babe McWillie took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kyle Colwell. Kyle Colwell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Barnaderg's Hewney Brennan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kyle Colwell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Bradaigh Doherty fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strand's protests and gave Bradaigh Doherty a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Strand got a freekick which was hit by Bradaigh Doherty. 36 minutes into the game, Beairtle McAlphie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strand's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barnaderg the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Strand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beairtle McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. George Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes of play, Strand's Bearach O'Keefe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pawd Savic was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Hewney Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Babe McWillie made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hewney Brennan got free with Kyle Colwell in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Babe McWillie struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Kyle Colwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barnaderg. If Hewney Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hewney Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kyle Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Babe McWillie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babe McWillie in the 64th minute of the match. Hewney Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Colwell having to interfere. If Hewney Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89thth minute of the game Babe McWillie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strand's Kyle Colwell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bradaigh Doherty got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Babe McWillie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kyle Colwell came out and tried to block the shot, but Babe McWillie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 95th minute. When the match was over Barnaderg could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Strand throughout the match.
