Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Babe McWillie got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babe McWillie in the 4th minute of play forced Clogh's goalkeeper Turlough Scully to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Barnaderg's Babe McWillie in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clogh's goalie prevented a goal. After 8 played minutes Babe McWillie rounded Clogh's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Babe McWillie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hewney Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Turlough Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Clogh's Bartley Dimson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pawd Savic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 23 played minutes Clogh got a freekick which was hit by Bhrighde Gillmour. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hewney Brennan got free with Turlough Scully in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Curran Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pawd Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Clogh got a freekick which was hit by Bhrighde Gillmour. Turlough Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babe McWillie, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Hewney Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turlough Scully having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartley Dimson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bhrighde Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Turlough Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babe McWillie, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Curran Holt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Curran Holt got free with Pawd Savic in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Babe McWillie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turlough Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Hewney Brennan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnaderg's supporters rose to their feet, but Hewney Brennan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Turlough Scully breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hewney Brennan in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Turlough Scully prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Barnaderg's zone, Curran Holt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pawd Savic came out of the goal and Curran Holt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Barnaderg fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Barnaderg's Hewney Brennan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Curran Holt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Pawd Savic made a huge save. When Babe McWillie came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Barnaderg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babe McWillie couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Clogh booed when Barnaderg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartley Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pawd Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barnaderg's Hewney Brennan got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hewney Brennan took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Turlough Scully. Turlough Scully dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Hewney Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Turlough Scully came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Barnaderg's Babe McWillie. But to his dismay, Babe McWillie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. There was no doubt that Barnaderg were the better team. Barnaderg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
