Baoithin Prunty succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 3rd playminute. Battiemount's Bodibeua Callaghan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Battiemount from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baoithin Prunty in the 8th minute of play forced Battiemount's goalkeeper Bodibeua Callaghan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lochlainn Gallagher fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Battiemount's protests and gave Lochlainn Gallagher a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Shannagh Utd booed when Battiemount was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lochlainn Gallagher didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Shannagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Berk Dunne. In the 15th minute Brefni Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bodibeua Callaghan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Brefni Hughes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bodibeua Callaghan. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Bodibeua Callaghan made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Brant Silke sent off a good shot on target. Glen Hamilton hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Battiemount getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Beagan Glen Crowe hit a great ball. Baoithin Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bodibeua Callaghan having to interfere. Bodibeua Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baoithin Prunty in the 32nd minute of play. Bracken Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gearalt McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brefni Hughes during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Shannagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brefni Hughes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Boyne Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battiemount's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyne Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bracken Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Battiemount getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cullan McPhilip hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boyne Coyle made a kick off. Bodibeua Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni Hughes in the 55th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Brefni Hughes made a precise shot to the right of Bodibeua Callaghan. Battiemount's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to Shannagh Utd getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Baoithin Prunty hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Shannagh Utd's Brefni Hughes got a free kick in the 67th minute. Bodibeua Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni Hughes in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Battiemount got a freekick which was hit by Glen Hamilton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baoithin Prunty in the 74th minute of play forced Battiemount's goalkeeper Bodibeua Callaghan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Darby John sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bodibeua Callaghan skillfully saved the ball. Bodibeua Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brefni Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Shannagh Utd players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
