Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joshua Sheridan kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Strand's Barney McBjarton got a free kick in the 4th minute. Kyle Colwell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bedilia Kelly went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kyle Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Joshua Sheridan came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Maryfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Sheridan couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Bedilia Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maryfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Bedilia Kelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyle Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kyle Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Sheridan in the 19th minute of play. Strand's Kyle Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedilia Kelly in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Strand's zone, Healy McPeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kyle Colwell came out of the goal and Healy McPeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beglan McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience cheered loudly when Kyle McWill's long shot in the 27th minute became 1-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Banan Deans. 39 minutes into the match, Strand's Bradaigh Doherty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Banan Deans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Joshua Sheridan came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Maryfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Sheridan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Maryfield booed when Strand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradaigh Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beairtle McAlphie hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The Strand players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maryfield were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Doyle was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Strand's Beairtle McAlphie got a free kick in the 51st minute. Beairtle McAlphie might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Banan Deans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beairtle McAlphie ran back to his position shaking his head. 60 minutes in the game, Joshua Sheridan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kyle Colwell having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Strand's zone, Joshua Sheridan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kyle Colwell came out of the goal and Joshua Sheridan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bedilia Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kyle Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bedilia Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedilia Kelly might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kyle Colwell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bedilia Kelly ran back to his position shaking his head. Strand's George Doyle got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th match minute, Maryfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George McIan to maneuver through the defense. Bearach O'Keefe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The goalkeeper, Kyle Colwell, was totally fooled by Maryfield's Healy McPeter, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. George Doyle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Banan Deans having to make a save. George Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Banan Deans came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Strand's Bearach O'Keefe. But to his dismay, Bearach O'Keefe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The Strand fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maryfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
