The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Braoin Hunt fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garr FC's protests and gave Braoin Hunt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ardmeen booed when Garr FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braoin Hunt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Garr FC's Finnigan McMichel in the 7th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Thom Ryan was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ardmeen through an amazing save. A collision led to Ardmeen getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Boyce Cassin hit a great ball. In the 9th match minute, Ardmeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleary Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Cian Harkin hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Ardmeen's goal looked a bit too open when Finnigan McMichel came free, but Thom Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Ardmeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleary Tracy to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Finnigan McMichel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ardmeen getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cleary Tracy hit a great ball. Breffni Tracy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boethis Perth, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Breffni Tracy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cian Harkin's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Cian Harkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Breffni Tracy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 54th minute Garr FC were awarded a corner. Biviti Todd went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Biviti Todd almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ardmeen's Thom Ryan did a great save. In the 56th minute, Donegan McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brennen Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thom Ryan having to interfere. Boethis Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breffni Tracy having to interfere. When Brennen Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Garr FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brennen Ryan couldn't finish the play. Thom Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finnigan McMichel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brennen Ryan struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Thom Ryan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garr FC. Breffni Tracy was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Boethis Perth capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boethis Perth really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Boethis Perth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brennen Ryan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Thom Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
