Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bartley Dimson kicked off to start the match. Banan Deans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartley Dimson in the 8th minute of play. Bedilia Kelly who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Turlough Scully when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Curran Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Bartley Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banan Deans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bedilia Kellys short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Turlough Scully to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Turlough Scully made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bedilia Kelly in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Maryfield booed when Clogh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bhrighde Gillmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Joshua Sheridan came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Maryfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Sheridan couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Kevion Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joshua Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Healy McPeter's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but Clogh's Turlough Scully knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Clogh! In the 40th minute, Maryfield got a penalty, and Healy McPeter placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Joshua Sheridan made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joshua Sheridan in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Turlough Scully saved Clogh from getting behind. 56 minutes into the game, Baine McDecland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clogh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maryfield the free kick. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Clogh! The referee gave Maryfield a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Healy McPeter, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Clogh's Turlough Scully. 3-0. In the 61st match minute, Clogh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Tracy to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Bedilia Kelly had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Turlough Scully. Clogh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bedilia Kelly was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, Clogh's Troy Tracy got a free kick in the 69th minute. Turlough Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedilia Kelly in the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joshua Sheridan in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Turlough Scully prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Joshua Sheridan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turlough Scully was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Clogh defense, Joshua Sheridan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Turlough Scully. The Clogh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Turlough Scully should have stopped the shot. Turlough Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedilia Kelly in the 86th minute of the match. Turlough Scully stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bedilia Kelly's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Joshua Sheridan got in the 94th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Turlough Scully handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Joshua Sheridan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maryfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Maryfield had played much better football throughout.
