Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Coorlaghan's Donn Murphy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Egan Willson sped through Coorlaghan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donal Tierney. In the 10th minute, Dane Cronin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harrigan Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finbar Ryan in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Braddon Matthews cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Harrigan Silke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donal Tierney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyne MaCollin in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Coorlaghan's goalkeeper Donal Tierney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobin McFrancise. The audience was convinced that Egan Willson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donal Tierney was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Boyne MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corchuill's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyne MaCollin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donal Tierney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egan Willson in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Donal Tierney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Braddon Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38thth minute of the game Egan Willson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coorlaghan's Donal Tierney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Corchuill booed when Coorlaghan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradon Cooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Corchuill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donavon Prunty to maneuver through the defense. Pembroke Mullan charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pembroke Mullan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Coorlaghan got a freekick which was hit by Pembroke Mullan. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egan Willson made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play Coorlaghan's Pembroke Mullan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 53rd minute, Pembroke Mullan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 minutes of play, Corchuill's Gordon Caffrey made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donal Tierney was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Corchuill getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Donavon Prunty hit a great ball. The supporters of Coorlaghan booed when Corchuill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donavon Prunty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Finbar Ryan in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Harrigan Silke, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Coorlaghan's Braddon Matthews got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Coorlaghan defense, Egan Willson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donal Tierney. The Coorlaghan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donal Tierney should have stopped the shot. After 80 played minutes Coorlaghan got a freekick which was hit by Braddon Matthews. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egan Willson in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donal Tierney saved Coorlaghan from getting behind. The supporters of Coorlaghan booed when Corchuill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dane Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Corchuill fully deserved thier win.
