Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Colm Hughes made the kick off and thus started the match. If Tory McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciarán Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caolán McOliver in the 7th minute of play. Tory McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciarán Hutton having to interfere. Tory McMichel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ciarán Hutton made a huge save. Bannan McSteve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Swineford Utd booed when Carrowntawy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boyne Hutton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carrowntawy's Bannan McSteve got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleary Brennan kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caolán McOliver was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Swineford Utd getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Donn Dalton hit a great ball. Colm Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keefe McWillie having to interfere. Colm Hughes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Carrowntawy's Aaden Murphy got a free kick in the 58th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Swineford Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Colm Hughes came free, but Keefe McWillie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Swineford Utd's Caolán McOliver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciarán Hutton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfred Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Bailey Rutherford sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Carrowntawy's Ciarán Hutton didn't even have to move. Cleary Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Keefe McWillie came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Carrowntawy's Bannan McSteve. But to his dismay, Bannan McSteve quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 87 played minutes Colm Hughes rounded Swineford Utd's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 91st minute Tory McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciarán Hutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Swineford Utd's Cleary Brennan got a free kick in the 95th minute. Boland Duggan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Keefe McWillie. Swineford Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
