Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doney McLaughlin to make the kick off. Breanainn Johnson's late challenge caught a Canningstown FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Canningstown FC's much stronger midfield.
