If Braeden Ghee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artuir Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradaigh Gollogley in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradaigh Gollogley in the 9th minute of play forced Knockatee AFC's goalkeeper Artuir Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradaigh Gollogley struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Artuir Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballylusk. Braeden Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Artuir Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artuir Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braeden Ghee , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Knockatee AFC's Biddy Costello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patton McCollion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peadar Dunne got free with Patton McCollion in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ballylusk's Rorry Myler got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Knockatee AFC's goalkeeper Artuir Dempsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Braeden Ghee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knockatee AFC's goalkeeper Artuir Dempsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Braeden Ghee notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Knockatee AFC's Artuir Dempsey. Artuir Dempsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gordan Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Artuir Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradaigh Gollogley in the 44th minute of play. Biddy Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patton McCollion having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Biddy Costello made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Ballylusk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rorry Myler to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 52 minutes, Peadar Dunne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockatee AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peadar Dunne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peadar Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Patton McCollion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Bradaigh Gollogley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Braeden Ghee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knockatee AFC's Artuir Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevin Caffey hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Knockatee AFC's Artuir Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braeden Ghee in the 61st minute of play. Patton McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peadar Dunne in the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Ballylusk booed when Knockatee AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Caffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artuir Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braeden Ghee in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Knockatee AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gordan Sheridan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Biddy Costello in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patton McCollion saved Ballylusk from getting behind. Patton McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biddy Costello in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Peadar Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patton McCollion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
