Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Darragh McOliver started the match with the kick off. Darragh McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard McPeter having to interfere. In the 12th minute Seán Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Moylough's Darragh McOliver made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernard McPeter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernard McPeter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darragh McOliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Begley Myler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Cahir Benson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Moylough's Brendan Branson got a free kick in the 29th minute. Cahir Benson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donncha Molloy in the 34th minute. Artuir Kirby hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 39 played minutes Moylough got a freekick which was hit by Brendan Branson. Donncha Molloy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Cahir Benson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bernard McPeter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seán Colwell went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bernard McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seán Colwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Carrigdangan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Moylough were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Begley Myler to strike the kick off in the second half. Begley Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darragh McOliver in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernard McPeter saved Carrigdangan from getting behind. Brendan Branson's late challenge caught a Carrigdangan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendan Branson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Brendan Branson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Begley Myler might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cahir Benson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Begley Myler ran back to his position shaking his head. Donncha Molloy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernard McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darragh McOliver in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Carrigdangan got a freekick which was hit by Kennedy Taylor. In the 77th minute Darragh McOliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donncha Molloy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cahir Benson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Seán Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donncha Molloy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
