In the 10th minute, Belleek FC's Brogan Crowe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Arnold Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teddy Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Belleek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peadair MaCollin came free, but Flann Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Teddy Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Knockbodaly's Peadair MaCollin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flann Ghee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Flann Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peadair MaCollin in the 31st minute of play. Flann Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brogan Crowe in the 40th minute of play forced Knockbodaly's goalkeeper Arnold Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Knockbodaly getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Belock McStephen hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Brogan Crowe made a precise shot to the right of Arnold Branson. Knockbodaly's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Walker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Flann Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teddy Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brogan Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Belleek FC's Flannery McOliver got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 81 minutes into the match, Belleek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Walker came free, but Flann Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flann Ghee made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Peadair MaCollin sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Belleek FC's Flann Ghee got control of the ball when Peadair MaCollin tried to sneak it across the goal line.
