Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beara Hughes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. The supporters of Cluid booed when Moylough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artuir Kirby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beara Hughes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Cahir Benson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Beara Hughes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cahir Benson having to make a save. Cahir Benson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toran Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Beara Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cluid's supporters rose to their feet, but Beara Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cahir Benson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Toran Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Moylough's goal looked a bit too open when Toran Molloy came free, but Cahir Benson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Moylough's Cahir Benson got control of the ball when Toran Molloy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Seán Colwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Cluid's goal looked a bit too open when Darragh McOliver came free, but Donoghue Caffrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cluid's zone, Seán Colwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donoghue Caffrey came out of the goal and Seán Colwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Darragh McOliver sped through Cluid's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donoghue Caffrey. After a defensive mix-up in Cluid's zone, Seán Colwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donoghue Caffrey came out of the goal and Seán Colwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Moylough were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toran Molloy to strike the kick off in the second half. Seán Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donoghue Caffrey having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Toran Molloy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cahir Benson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Artuir Rutherford kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A hard shot 60 in the game by Seán Colwell from a close distance when the talented Donoghue Caffrey managed to make a qualified save. Cluid's players were relieved. When Theodore Lavine fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cluid's protests and gave Theodore Lavine a yellow card for diving instead. Seán Colwell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Donoghue Caffrey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Toran Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moylough's Cahir Benson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garrett Glen Crowe in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Seán Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moylough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seán Colwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donoghue Caffrey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darragh McOliver in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Moylough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artuir Kirby to maneuver through the defense. Brendan Branson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Toran Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Devlin Hutton hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Cahir Benson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toran Molloy, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Moylough's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
