Brendan Branson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Quinton Lavine made a huge save. Quinton Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darragh McOliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darragh McOliver stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brendan Branson scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quinton Lavine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seán Colwell in the 59th minute of play forced Courthoyle's goalkeeper Quinton Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Seán Colwell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quinton Lavine. Courthoyle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seán Colwell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Quinton Lavine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darragh McOliver went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Courthoyle getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Bow McPaul hit a great ball.
