Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rourke McGlynn took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rourke McGlynn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnold McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Brazil Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Arnold McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Carrigdangan's goal looked a bit too open when Rourke McGlynn came free, but Bernard McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Rourke McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavan Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rourke McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernard McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rourke McGlynn in the 22nd minute of the match. A hard shot 23 in the game by Rourke McGlynn from a close distance when the talented Bernard McPeter managed to make a qualified save. Carrigdangan's players were relieved. With his leg Bernard McPeter managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Cavan Utd's Rourke McGlynn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Cavan Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Blair McCollion came free, but Brazil Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Carrigdangan booed when Cavan Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartel McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rourke McGlynn made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 32ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Bernard McPeter would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 39th minute, Rourke McGlynn fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bernard McPeter, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Begley Myler during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Donncha Molloy made a precise shot to the right of Brazil Hunt. Cavan Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Begley Myler made a kick off. Bernard McPeter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rourke McGlynn's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Begley Myler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry McWillie's late challenge caught a Carrigdangan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry McWillie helped the player get up and apologised. Harry McWillie hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Donncha Molloy could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Brazil Hunt however easily saved by the left post. Brazil Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Begley Myler in the 70th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Cavan Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conor Mullan to maneuver through the defense. Brazil Hunt came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Carrigdangan's Begley Myler. But to his dismay, Begley Myler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 75th minute, Kennedy Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard McPeter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rourke McGlynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rourke McGlynn scored 4-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard McPeter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Cavan Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Donncha Molloy came free, but Brazil Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Carrigdangan booed when Cavan Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennedy Callaghan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torin McMichel hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Carrigdangan's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cavan Utd had won, even though Carrigdangan had held more of the ball.
