Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peadar Doherty started the match with the kick off. Beara Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Beothach O'Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beothach O'Brien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toran Molloy in the 6th minute of play. When Theodore Lavine fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cluid's protests and gave Theodore Lavine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Theodore Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Donncha Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donoghue Caffrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donncha Dimson struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Donoghue Caffrey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moyne. Toran Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Moyne's goal looked a bit too open when Toran Molloy came free, but Beothach O'Brien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Toran Molloy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Toran Molloy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beothach O'Brien. Moyne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toran Molloy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 38th minute, Donncha Dimson made a precise shot to the right of Donoghue Caffrey. Cluid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 41st minute Toran Molloy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beothach O'Brien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toran Molloy to make the kick off. Roordan McTom charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roordan McTom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Moyne's Roordan McTom got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Beothach O'Brien came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Cluid's Toran Molloy. But to his dismay, Toran Molloy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When Cluid's Beara Hughes in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moyne's goalie prevented a goal. Donncha Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Byrne MaCollin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donncha Dimson might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donoghue Caffrey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donncha Dimson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moyne's goalkeeper Beothach O'Brien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beothach O'Brien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beara Hughes in the 75th minute of the match. Toran Molloy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beothach O'Brien having to interfere. Beara Hughes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beothach O'Brien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Cluid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Hughes to maneuver through the defense. Beara Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Beothach O'Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beothach O'Brien didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beara Hughes went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Moyne players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cluid.
