Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Austin McFrancise made the kick off which started today's match. Belvelly's Gordan McTom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Walker in the 3rd minute of play. Gordan McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Austin McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Arnold Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belvelly's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Robert Walker scored to the left of an out of position Gordan McTom, making the score, 2-0. Gordan McTom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peadair MaCollin in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Robert Walker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Knockbodaly booed when Belvelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baoithin Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Robert Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockbodaly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Walker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gordan McTom was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robert Walker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. With a little luck, Belvelly's Gordan McTom got control of the ball when Peadair MaCollin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peadair MaCollin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Gordan McTom skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Robert Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gordan McTom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peadair MaCollin in the 42nd minute. Berchan McJon hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Caroll Myler's late challenge caught a Belvelly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Walker to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Berchan McJon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belvelly's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knockbodaly the free kick. The supporters of Knockbodaly booed when Belvelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berchan McJon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Belvelly's Austin McFrancise slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnold Branson. That made the score 3-1 after 56 minutes of play. Arnold Branson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baoithin Caffrey in the 67th minute of play. Robert Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gordan McTom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Peadair MaCollin notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Belvelly's Gordan McTom. Gordan McTom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute Peadair MaCollin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordan McTom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baoithin Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gordan McTom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peadair MaCollin in the 83rd minute of play. Robert Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Belvelly booed when Knockbodaly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belock McStephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raymond Murphy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gordan McTom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Belvelly's Baoithin Caffrey got a free kick in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Peadair MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knockbodaly's supporters rose to their feet, but Peadair MaCollin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gordan McTom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Knockbodaly were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Belvelly for a fine match.
