The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seoirse McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenan McTom in the 4th minute of play. After 7 played minutes, Whitebog Utd's Liam Willson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Keely Palmer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Whitebog Utd reached it. After 8 minutes, Rory McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitebog Utd and the Narraghmore AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Whitebog Utd getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rory McFrank hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Whitebog Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Brenan McTom came free, but Seoirse McBjarton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Whitebog Utd's goalkeeper Seoirse McBjarton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irwin McOliver. Whitebog Utd's Seoirse McBjarton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenda Molloy in the 23rd minute of play. Irwin McOliver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Seoirse McBjarton made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Narraghmore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rory McFrank came free, but Keely Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Narraghmore AFC's goalkeeper Keely Palmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seoirse McBjarton made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Irwin McOliver sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenan McTom in the 35th minute of play forced Whitebog Utd's goalkeeper Seoirse McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seoirse McBjarton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brenda Molloy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Keely Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Willson, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Keely Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Willson in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rory McFrank made the kick off in the second half. If Rory McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keely Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Willson in the 53rd minute of play. Keely Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Peyton Harkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cullan McBrandon charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Whitebog Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Narraghmore AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Whitebog Utd's Beary Harkin got a free kick in the 66th minute. Seoirse McBjarton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irwin McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Whitebog Utd's Rory McFrank sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keely Palmer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Whitebog Utd got a freekick which was hit by Cullan McBrandon. Keely Palmer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rory McFrank went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irwin McOliver in the 92nd minute of play forced Whitebog Utd's goalkeeper Seoirse McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liam Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Whitebog Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
