Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Críostóir Silke made the kick off and thus started the match. Caherlevoy's Pat McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kilmacteige Utd booed when Caherlevoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artuir Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Críostóir Silke notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Caherlevoy's Binne Gillmour. Binne Gillmour was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Críostóir Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Binne Gillmour having to interfere. Binne Gillmour stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bret Mulvihill's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Caherlevoy's Pat McFrank made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shamus Quinnless was left in no man's land by his defense there! 1-2 became the score in the 26th minute when Críostóir Silke elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Kilmacteige Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Gordan Scully came free, but Shamus Quinnless reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Caherlevoy got a freekick which was hit by Fiachra Grant. Binne Gillmour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bret Mulvihill in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Caherlevoy getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Terence McBrandon hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Críostóir Silke notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Caherlevoy's Binne Gillmour. Binne Gillmour was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 45 minutes into the match, Kilmacteige Utd's goalkeeper Shamus Quinnless had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pat McFrank. Binne Gillmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bret Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gordan Scully to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bressal McLaughlin during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Caherlevoy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bressal McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the game, Blaithmeic Savic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilmacteige Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caherlevoy the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kilmacteige Utd's Blaithmeic Savic got a free kick in the 57th minute. Bret Mulvihill's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Binne Gillmour skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Caherlevoy defense, Bret Mulvihill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Binne Gillmour. The Caherlevoy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Binne Gillmour should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordan Scully in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shamus Quinnless prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat McFrank in the 77th minute of play forced Kilmacteige Utd's goalkeeper Shamus Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiachra Grant got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Fiachra Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Kilmacteige Utd's Bret Mulvihill, in the 79th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Kilmacteige Utd. After a defensive mix-up in Kilmacteige Utd's zone, Pat McFrank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shamus Quinnless came out of the goal and Pat McFrank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bret Mulvihill got free with Binne Gillmour in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Críostóir Silke came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Kilmacteige Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Críostóir Silke couldn't finish the play.
