Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Grogagh's Breaghdha Gallagher started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Binne Gillmour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breaghdha Gallagher, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Lorcan McNamee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordan Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caherlevoy's Gordan Scully got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Bradley Ghee in the 26th minute really tested Binne Gillmour's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 29th minute, Pat McFrank left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caherlevoy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Breaghdha Gallagher was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Caherlevoy's zone, Barney Beckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Binne Gillmour came out of the goal and Barney Beckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breaghdha Gallagher struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Binne Gillmour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grogagh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breaghdha Gallagher in the 43rd minute of play forced Caherlevoy's goalkeeper Binne Gillmour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grogagh's Lorcan McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordan Scully in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Caherlevoy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gordan Scully to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Terence McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grogagh's Barney Beckett got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Grogagh's goalkeeper Lorcan McNamee had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pat McFrank. A collision led to Grogagh getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Benedict Hughes hit a great ball. Pat McFrank struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Lorcan McNamee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caherlevoy. If Barney Beckett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grogagh's Lorcan McNamee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Grogagh from getting a goal against them. Lorcan McNamee made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Pat McFrank sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Grogagh's Lewis Dempsey got a free kick in the 71st minute. Pat McFrank's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorcan McNamee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Breaghdha Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Binne Gillmour having to interfere. Barney Beckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Binne Gillmour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breaghdha Gallagher in the 83rd minute of the match.
