The supporters of Ballyroan FC booed when Caherlevoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terence McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Keelin McPaul came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ballyroan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keelin McPaul couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Binne Gillmour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyce Ferguson in the 45th minute of play. The Caherlevoy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ballyroan FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gordan Scully was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Caherlevoy getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fiachra Grant hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyroan FC's zone, Pat McFrank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boudibiua McJohnny came out of the goal and Pat McFrank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boudibiua McJohnny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordan Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Caherlevoy's Binne Gillmour got control of the ball when Boyce Ferguson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pat McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Caherlevoy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pat McFrank couldn't finish the play. Boudibiua McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pat McFrank in the 71st minute of play. Austin McWill hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Caherlevoy's Pat McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boudibiua McJohnny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gordan Scully's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Austin McWill kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Ballyroan FC got a freekick which was hit by Bedilia Gough. The supporters of Ballyroan FC booed when Caherlevoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boethis Cooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boudibiua McJohnny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordan Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The referee gave Caherlevoy a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. Binne Gillmour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyroan FC. Binne Gillmour made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boyce Ferguson in the 98th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
