Bret Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendan Caffey having to interfere. After 5 minutes, Críostóir Silke made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Aghacurreen Utd's Brendan Caffey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Críostóir Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shamus Quinnless made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harold McMichel in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Rowe Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shamus Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Rowe Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aghacurreen Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Rowe Ryan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shamus Quinnless breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bradain Myler hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Harold McMichel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Shamus Quinnless. The goal made the score 1-1. Brendan Caffey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Críostóir Silke in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harold McMichel got free with Shamus Quinnless in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brendan Caffey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bret Mulvihill, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bret Mulvihill in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brendan Caffey saved Aghacurreen Utd from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Bradain Myler hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Aghacurreen Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teddy Holt in the 56th minute. The corner led Aghacurreen Utd's Gealan McJohn to fire away a dangerous shot which Shamus Quinnless despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Harold McMichel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Kilmacteige Utd booed when Aghacurreen Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beckett Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Críostóir Silke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilmacteige Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Críostóir Silke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendan Caffey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kilmacteige Utd getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Blaithmeic Savic hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Harold McMichel made a precise shot to the right of Shamus Quinnless. Kilmacteige Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Harold McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Shamus Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bret Mulvihill got free with Brendan Caffey in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
