The crowd rose to their feet as Rossgeir's Rian Perth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bairee Sheridan. That made the score 1-0 after 41 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conn McWill during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Conn McWill hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match.
