When Rordan McJon came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Firmount fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rordan McJon couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rordan McJon in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bannon McTom saved Doohat from getting behind. The Doohat players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Firmount were winning 1-3.

Barney McCready who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Bannon McTom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Trevor McAlphie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barney McCready kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 90thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Doohat's keeper Bannon McTom was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patton Frankson in the 95th minute of play forced Firmount's goalkeeper Blathmacc McLaughlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Firmount left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Doohat.
