Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Firmount's Barney McCready started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Firmount's Rordan McJon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Barley Ryan. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Torran McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Barley Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Corvoley's Barley Ryan got control of the ball when Barney McCready tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute of the game Breffni McJames made a throw-in which Trevor McAlphie played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torran McCollion got free with Barley Ryan in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Corvoley getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Patrick Rutherford hit a great ball. Trevor McAlphie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Barley Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Corvoley got a freekick which was hit by Bairthmead Holt. Barley Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney McCready in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Corvoley defense, Barney McCready kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barley Ryan. The Corvoley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barley Ryan should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Brite McLian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barley Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney McCready in the 42nd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bairthmead Holt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd play minute Bairthmead Holt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Blathmacc McLaughlin. 2-1. In the 59thth minute of the game Rordan McJon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corvoley's Barley Ryan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barley Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barney McCready in the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barney McCready in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barley Ryan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barley Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barney McCready in the 64th minute of play. Bairthmead Holt might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blathmacc McLaughlin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bairthmead Holt ran back to his position shaking his head. Blathma Walker's late challenge caught a Firmount's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blathma Walker helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Corvoley's Blathma Walker got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Corvoley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairthmead Holt to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Torran McCollion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barley Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bairthmead Holt kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Branson Moran charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Branson Moran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Corvoley booed when Firmount was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Branson Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Corvoley's Bairthmead Holt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blathmacc McLaughlin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Corvoley's Bairthmead Holt got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Bairthmead Holt off the ground.
